This shell has been used as a form of currency in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In Nepal and India, it represents wealth and womanhood and used in certain ceremonies to worship the Goddess Laxmi.

Our bracelet is inspired by a Cowrie shell found on a sandy beach from Tulum, Mexico.
