This extraordinarily beautiful long wooden pill board is made of FSC American Maple hardwood, a superior material for chopping boards that endures knife cuts and resists moisture. MATERIAL FSC American Maple, Brass CARE Rinse with warm water. Do not put into dishwasher or leave to soak in water, as the wood may split. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the brass as this may cause discolouration. Pre-treated with food-safe mineral oil, so you can start using them straight away. To maintain its condition and prevent splitting, we recommend oiling the board regularly with mineral oil or any kitchen oil (please note that strongly coloured oils might discolour the wood). The board will feel dry to touch and will get lighter in colour when it needs oiling. Wood can split when the air is really dry, and central heating will dry the air out. It is best to keep the relative air humidity levels in your house between 40-50%, which will be beneficial to the wood and your health.
