Ceramic swallows are an important symbol representing family, love and fidelity.

Bordallo pinheiro popularised them at the end of the 19th century in the portuguese popular imagination and even today they are still popular in our homes, decorating interiors, terraces and local shops.

Ours are made in a small ceramics workshop run by antónio and lucía, master craftsmen from the north of portugal, who make each piece one by one using a mould and painting them by hand with enamel finishes in different colours.

Installation is very simple, just place a small nail at a 45 degree angle to the wall to prevent them from falling off, they can also be placed with pliers or similar.
