Frida Koker Doll by Lucie Kaas, fine wood doll inspired by Frida Kahlo
For the Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas collection, the Danish designer Becky Kemp was inspired by the ancient Japanese dolls "Kokeshi", real works of art that tell past stories and tradition.
Born from a single piece of precious wood, worked and painted by hand, the style of these dolls is unmistakable and shows how with a few simple lines you can create design objects with a great aesthetic impact.
The slender and cylindrical body acts as a head base, round and larger than the figure, to enhance the character's face, also made with stylized lines and Koleshi Doll includes some of the greatest characters in history and artists of the past in the field of fashion, art and music that have become real fashion and style icons.
