Serax White Square Eucalyptus and Acacia Vase with Neck medium
The name Wave refers to the undulating movement of the shape present in the glass. 'Simple and Clear'.
The shape of this mouthblown vase was inspired by the monumental windows of Antwerp’s MAS Museum, which Ruben Deriemaeker considers a fine example of good design. Besides its unique shape, the vase also has a subtle colour, making it a stunning decorative object for a bunch of flowers.
The design consists of the same repetitive shape that determines the length of the work. By playing with different diameters, there are several different shapes and applications. The linear construction and structure of the wooden mould create a unique pattern in the glass. In this way, Deriemaeker translates his passion for wood and his origins as a manufacturer/designer.
