Single origin rum, molasses from paraguay fermented for 2 weeks with wild blackberry yeast and distilled in amsterdam and aged, bourban barrel and cognac cask finished aged 10 years. Spirited union presents a new take on experimental cask finishing, by pre-conditioning casks with botanicals to be used for the final cask finish in amsterdam. This enhances the rich character of the rum, using an evolving botanical cask finish. The process A tropically aged single origin rum (jamaican style) is selected based on flavour profile and finish. At the distillery in amsterdam, oak barrels are pre-conditioned by steeping botanicals in them for weeks. The botanical tincture is then removed and used for our regular range (we don't like waste). The pre-conditioned barrels are filled with our amsterdam barrel-matured blend to give it a delicate and refined barrel. Tasting notes colour: dark gold and amber. Nose: when pouring, you discover raspberry notes on the nose. In these notes you can already find the different layers of depth. Each layer represents a taste journey of this unique liquid. Taste: before you unlock the raspberry and tropical notes, you are gently greeted by a typical taste and strength of this unique amsterdam distilled rum, which fades away and leaves a filmy liquid on your palette.
