With a long career in trading and exporting, German native Marie Harz has had an international journey before settling in her Bristol hometown. Since taking over in 2007, Oskar Furniture has become a destination for European products that are design-led as well as beautiful.
From the founder
"I really relate to the Scandinavian aesthetic and way of life and feel that our boutique reflects this ethos, stocking beautiful products that are design with practicality in mind."
This is Marie
She met her future British partner in Australia whilst travelling and, when she relocated to Bristol, she began working in a Chinese antique shop and became inspired by the customers and world of retail. When the shop came up for sale, it was the perfect opportunity to explore her love of design.
