Über Wesen

Behind the light-spangled facade of Wesen, you'll find a treasure trove of under-the-radar brands. Fashion expert Mareike Ulman launched the format brand in 2008, and three years later it expanded as WESEN into a small shop and showroom. Since then, the boutique has become known as a shopping destination for discerning sustainable design aficionados in the German capital.

Having studied fashion design in Berlin, Mareike became acutely aware of the harsh conditions that many fashion employees work under. She realised that she preferred to be her own boss, so she founded her brand, format. 3 years later she opened the shop WESEN where also other brands are offered.
